If you are a Marriott Titanium Elite or an Ambassador Elite, linking your United and Marriott accounts is by far the easiest way to get United MileagePlus Premier Silver status.
The process is as simple as it gets. Head to the promotion page, click on “Sign In” and link your accounts.
Unfortunately, Marriott Silver, Gold, and Platinum elites have nothing to gain from this partnership.
If you are not a Marriott Titanium or Ambassador, you can still try for the United Status Match Challenge.
This partnership works the other way around as well. If you already have a United MileagePlus Premier Gold or higher status, you can status-match to Marriott Bonvoy Gold Elite status.

There are a few other benefits of this partnership:
- Marriott Ambassador Elite and Titanium Elite members receive complimentary United MileagePlus Premier Silver status.
- United MileagePlus Premier Silver members and above with linked accounts can transfer miles to points at a 1:1 ratio.
- Get 10,000 bonus United miles for every 60,000 Marriott Bonvoy points transferred to United. Transfer ratio being 3:1. i.e., 1 United mile for every 3 Marriott Bonvoy points transferred.
- Complimentary Marriott Bonvoy Gold Elite Status for United MileagePlus Premier Gold, Premier Platinum, and Premier 1K members.
