Marriott provides complimentary breakfast options at certain hotels, including free breakfast for elite members at specific brands. The type of breakfast offered may vary, with some hotels providing access to a lounge, others offering food and beverage credit, and some providing a designated food and beverage amenity.
Determining your eligibility for a complimentary breakfast can be quite complex, involving numerous terms and conditions to navigate. We have here tried to simplify the various options available for you.
Marriott hotel brands with free breakfast for all.
This one is quite simple. If you’re staying at any of the Marriott brands listed below, your breakfast is included in your stay. It doesn’t matter what rate you booked, your elite status with Marriott, whether you paid with points or cash, or where you made your booking.
Marriott hotels that always offer free breakfast are:

- Fairfield by Marriott (excluding Asia Pacific)
- Residence Inn
- SpringHill Suites
- TownePlace Suites
Breakfast at Marriott hotels with a lounge.
Marriott Bonvoy Platinum members and above enjoy free access to lounges at select Marriott brands. Lounge access typically includes complimentary breakfast and additional amenities such as a workspace, light snacks, and evening drinks.
Marriott Platinum, Titanium, and Ambassador members can get access to executive lounges at the following Marriott brands. Note that this benefit is not applicable at resorts.

No complimentary lounge access is provided to elite members at other Marriott brands.
You don’t have to worry about the breakfast if you have a Platinum or higher status, the hotel you are staying has a lounge, and it is of one of the above brands. We told you it’s not simple.
In certain countries, even if there is no lounge, you can still get complimentary breakfast.
In the US, Canada, and Europe, the following brands will offer breakfast or some other alternative if a lounge is not available. There may still be a few properties not participating in this program.

At Delta Hotels properties without a Signature Club Lounge, as the approved alternative, the Member will receive access to the Elite Pantry.
Marriott Free Breakfast For Elite members
Unlike Hilton’s free breakfast for Gold and above, Marriott offers no breakfast benefit to Gold members. For Marriott, it all starts at Platinum. Even Platinum (or higher) members don’t always get free breakfast.
If you are a Marriott Platinum, Titanium, or Ambassador member, you can choose free breakfast, F&B Amenity, or F&B Credit as a welcome amenity at the following Marriott brands.
There may be other choices like points available. We are only listing breakfast/food related amenities.

Marriott brands where elites DON’T get complimentary breakfast.
Even if you have accumulated 10,000 nights at Marriott hotels and resorts and hold the highest elite status for the next 7 lifetimes, the following Marriott brands will still not provide you with a complimentary breakfast or F&B credit or an F&B amenity:

Even free breakfast at Marriott may not be worth it.
It’s also important to note that despite complimentary breakfast being offered by Marriott, it may not always meet expectations across all locations.
The quality of complimentary breakfast varies considerably within the US and can range from simple offerings such as coffee and toast to full breakfast spreads.
Conversely, Marriott hotels in the Asia Pacific generally provide excellent complimentary breakfast options, while other countries offer satisfactory experiences.
