One such discount is specifically designed for teachers and is known as the Marriott Teacher Appreciation Rate.

Marriott Teacher Appreciation Discount

Teachers can avail of a 15% discount off the retail rate at participating Marriott hotels if the rate is available at that particular property.

This discount is limited to standard rooms only. It does not apply to premium rooms or suites, and there is a limit of two rooms per booking. However, at some properties, certain higher category rooms may be available.

Identification to qualify for the Teachers rate will need to be presented upon arrival or at check in. The Teacher Appreciation Savings Rate Discount is typically available to teachers, professors, and school faculty.

In case of any confusion about the eligibility, it’s better to check with the hotel before or immediately after booking (if it’s a refundable rate). In case you are deemed ineligible on arrival, the rate you will have to pay could be much higher.

Unlike the fixed discount for seniors at Marriott, this promotion is not always active. Participating hotels decide whether or not to offer this rate, resulting in limited availability at any given time. In fact, the availability of this particular rate is very low.

While a 15% discount is certainly beneficial, it’s worth considering that there may be cheaper rates available. However, Marriott’s exclusive rates for teachers are often refundable until the last minute, offering flexibility that other lower rates may not provide.
